What is the knowledge of Science?
Science is knowledge about the natural world based on facts learned through observation and experiments. Science is one of the most important channels of knowledge. ” it is nothing ” says Huxley ”but trained and organized commonsense” In this changing world now people think and move in terms of science. In civilized parts of the world, people consider science a blessing.
The Knowledge from Science
The knowledge from Science has made many things easy convenient and more simple. Science has helped us develop new technologies, science had made our work easy. Some common uses of science include agriculture, health, transportation through the land, and safer in air, communication, economics, etc. Scientific- technological inventions include railroads, smartphones, the internet, Television, electricity, battery, light bulb, etc.
ELECTRICITY
One great discovery which has defined time and space has added greatly to the joy and comfort of life is electricity. Electric machines have largely reduced hand labor and are producing better necessaries of life in great amounts at a much lower cost of production. Household chores are now no more time-consuming. The knowledge from Science has made work done in hours into minutes and minutes into seconds. It has not only made us physically comfortable but also has made us mentally relaxed.
But the questions still arise: Is science only for men’s comfort?
Today, progress is the product of science. Science is now everywhere in life. Science has given power and knowledge. In earlier times life was so boring. There was no entertainment in life. Earlier then, it was time-consuming to travel short distances but now we travel through long distances very easily and it is no more time-consuming.
Airplanes make traveling much easier, but fighter planes are used for bombs destroying different areas, kill thousands of men. Poisonous gases, chemicals, armored cars, tanks, are used in wars and are destructive. We can say that science is a blessing as well as a curse. Anything is the best of it if we use it in the right way.
