DISCRIMINATION AND RACISM
How do discrimination and racism affect you? Discrimination means to differentiate between humans on basis of the group, from which they belong. It is the act of making the unjustified distinction between human beings based on group, classes, as well as other categories. Discrimination is harming someone’s rights simply because of who they where they belong or what they believe. We all have the right to be treated equally, regardless of our race, ethnicity, age health, gender, etc.
DISCRIMINATION AGAINST NON -NATIONALS
Discrimination against non-nationals is very common. It is based on favoritism as they deal with them based on superiority. They are often judged based on the socio-economic stability of their country. A lot of people have experienced violent actions against refugees!
GENDER DISCRIMINATION
In many countries, in different countries, laws, policies exist that deny women rights! By law, women can’t wear specific kinds of clothes like in Saudia Arabia, Iran, etc. They can’t work at night. Furthermore, in a few countries, women can’t have any kind of property. In the ongoing battle for justice thousands and hundreds of girls and women from different countries and regions are on the streets holding posters to claim their rights. Every woman has rights, all they need is gender equality!
DISCRIMINATION BASED ON CASTE
Discrimination based on caste is very common in Asia and Africa. Owing to their birth identity people from these communities are socially rejected, economically prohibited, and are tortured mentally physically, and emotionally. Also, it continues from generation to generation, and in some cases deeply internalized. This is despite the existence in some countries of laws and optimistic actions to tackle it.
RACISM
The term ”Racism” means any difference, distinction, restriction, based on race, color, origin, etc. Racism comes in several forms like symbolic, ideological, structural, interactional, etc.
IDEOLOGICAL
It is the belief that gender differences are biologically based. Also, the belief that men should be the sole financial providers to a household, and that women should focus on raising children is an ideological belief. The belief is that there are only two genders and that a person’s gender identity cannot change over time.

So, racism and discrimination affect people socially and mentally. It is also responsible for increasing imbalance or division in physical and mental health! Also, racism is a baseless method and unscientific method of judging people.
