Fear is probably the most common problem among people in sports and it’s common too among everyone that has a big thing coming up like an job interview or a speech he will say in front of a lot of people so i will tell you some tips and solutions to this problem that i granted 100% it will work because i been through all that and i solved this problem myself
So we will take sports as an example …
But you can take those Tips in whatever thing that you suffer fear in
1-So first thing that you have to admit your problem .
I see a lot of people that they look scared but when you ask them are you scared ? They always say no. And that is a big issue and you will never solve that anxiety or fear problem until you become real to yourself .. so go sit in a room with yourself . close your eyes and tell yourself i have a problem and i want to change it ..then go to your family or your closet friend and tell them that you have a problem ..they will probably tell you: it’s ok .. don’t worry ..give you some advises and that will help a lot….be real to yourself ..
2- secondly: be consistent as much as possible
Let’s take sports as an example.. do you think that you will perform better than a player who is training a lot & out working every body ? The answer is no of course ..ok .. so what if you work so hard that you matched that person hard work or training but let’s say you worked hard for like 2 months and stopped or you work a week hard and and another week not that hard ( not consistent).. then you find a third person who is always working hard with a specific plans at everything like
A plane when he works on the sport skill three specific days a week in a specific time
Another plan that he works on his body two or three days a week in a specific time
Another plan for his eating diet and how many calories he should eat a day
And he doing all that for the entire season
So that person is achieving three things
1- hard work
2- smart work
3- consistent work
So what does that have to do with confidence or fear problem ? ..a lot
When you understand that you outwork everyone in your section ( iam taking sports as an example but you can do that in anything)
So when you understand that you outworking everybody & outsmarting everybody & being consistent at everything .. confidence will come to you automatically & things will seems a lot easier …
3- third and last tip : don’t feed fear your attention
So this tip will seem kinda opposite to the first tip but it doesn’t …
So you already admitted your problem and talked with your family or friends about it and already got some advises from them
Then you wrote on your notebook some schedules or planes that you want to do to outwork everyone and be consistent at your thing … So what is wrong ? You still struggling with fear on the court or while you doing an interview or whatever .. what is the issue ?
The issue that you must not feed fear all this Attention i will explain more … when you start getting that fear feeling don’t keep telling yourself i will beat that feeling & i won’t be afraid .. no that is completely wrong and that will increase your fear ( you are making the fear stronger every time you overthink about it)
So what you should do is to ignore it when you starting to get that feeling .. also say to yourself I did all i could of working hard & staying consistent but the key to apply all the work you did to destroy the fear is to ignore and only focus on the positives and the things you done ….
