Does distance kill the love or just make it stronger?
Hundreds of couples live in distant relationships. Many of them find it difficult to continue in this kind of relationship as they are complicated. However, for those who love each other, distance makes their relation built on solid foundations. This distance teaches them how to be patient in love and support each other. They keep waiting for the day where they are going to meet. They also talk about their feelings and longings and express mutual love between them every day. And the most important thing to stay loyal to each other and respect each other’s absence.
Distance indeed has some disadvantages. First, the little problems become bigger; as long as there would not be a real conversation with eye contact to solve the problem. Second, the lack of intimacy between the couple and the touching may make the couple not only physically far from each other, but also emotionally.
We can not pass over the positive effects of this distance. Talking from a personal point of view, as a wife who is living far from her husband for more than two years. The distance between me and my husband showed me that living together with the one you love is the most beautiful thing that would happen to a couple. The day when this will happen to me I will be so grateful. It also taught me that all the good things in our lives take time, and we should keep patience and never lose hope until we achieve what we are writing for. What I can conclude from my own experience is that couples who gave up because of distance should be very grateful for it. The distance proved to them that what brings them together is not love.
Hence, the distance doesn’t kill love, in contrast, it makes it stronger.
