Picnic parties are very essential to get a respite from a busy life. Everybody needs to rest and entertain after working hard for many days. Picnic parties provide us with leisure, as they add charm to our dull and boring life. They refresh our tiring nerves and mind.
Tour to Jallo Park
Last week tour organizer of our college decided to take the students of the BA class to Jallo Park (name of a park in the city of Lahore Pakistan) for a picnic. For this purpose, Sunday was fixed, as there was a lot of hustle and bustle at Jallo Park on that day. Our class in-charge teacher also agreed to accompany us. The students paid Rs. 1000 each for bus charges and light refreshments.
Start of the journey.
Two buses were arranged for that purpose. Every student was required to take some necessary things with him. All the students reached the college on the appointed day at about 0830 hours. The buses also arrived on time. Many students had cameras and tape recorders. All the students were dressed well.
Our trip organizer and class teacher arrived at exactly 0900 hours. All the students boarded the buses and we started at 0915 hours. The students started singing in a square when buses moved towards the park. They clapped, sang, and danced collectively.
Arrival at Jallo Park
We reached the spot within thirty-five minutes. That was the day of the winter season. Many other institutions had also organized their tour to the Park on the day.
The scene at the Park looked just big fair. Hundreds of students had come there to enjoy. We selected a place near Park’s Lake and spread a big carpet there. We placed our lunch boxes there and went around the park in groups.
At 1245 hours we all came back and assembled for our lunch. We were feeling quite hungry. We opened our lunch packets and shared our meals. After that, we started a program of music. Some students gave us good songs and ghazals (the type of poetry in Urdu).
Some students entertained us with jokes. After this, we took some rest and again disappeared. Those who had cameras started taking photographs. At 1600 hours we again gathered at the appointed place. College authorities had served us with tea and biscuits.
The time passed very quickly. Ultimately, we started our home journey at 1750 hours.
