This article is about a farewell party to one of our outgoing professors.
I was studying in 4th year in Government Degree College. Our Professor, Akram Khan, was retiring from service after one week. He taught Physics in the college for approximately thirty-five years. The principal of the college told in his speech. He had been our teacher for four years.
He was our favorite professor. All students loved him so much. We decided to bid a farewell lunch in his honor. The students chipped in five rupees (Our Country’s currency) each. On Monday, the 20th of December at the College Hall, the timing lunch came.
The Principal, all the Professors were present. All the students were in their best clothes. The college staff arranged tables and chairs in proper order. When all were in their chairs, a photograph was taken. The lunch was served at 3 PM.
all my friends were also serving dinner to the gathering. We had chosen the best menu for the lunch. Dishes for lunch were:- Goat meat, fried rice, veal pies, and spitted hen. We also served people fruits, pasties, and black tea. The service arranged by students was excellent.
Sher Ali, one of my class fellows, on behalf of all the students read an address after the lunch was over. He expressed sorrow at Professor Akram Khan’s departure from college. For his past kindness at students, he thanked him.
he’s a kind professor
He had been a source of encouragement for the students. He always guided the students in a polite and helpful manner. Once during an experimental period in the Chemistry laboratory. A costly thermometer was fallen from the hands of one of our class fellows.
He did not become harsh to the student. He paid the bill of a thermometer from his own pocket and behaved as a forgiving father. All students felt very sad about the retirement of the professor. the last Principal of the college stood up. He paid a tribute to the outgoing professor. He praised his work and high character.
Then Professor Akram Khan rose amidst cheers. He made a suitable reply. He thanked the students for their love advising them to work hard and to take regular exercise. The party ended at 4 PM with cheers for Professor Akram Khan. We returned home with gloomy hearts.
We will remember him in our whole life.
