What is brainpower? won’t use the dictionary here because I want to use the simplest explanation that even the illiterate are able to understand.
Brainpower is the ability to think faster, process the information, and have a superb genius-like memory.
Okay, that is my way of defining it. But I will explain as we explore more on the subject.
How do we boost brainpower?
I had asked myself this question for a long time, wrecked my brain for answers but couldn’t find any. several Research has been made by doctors, philosophers about the subject but there is more to this than you didn’t know.
Everything changed for me a month ago when I was conducting our national final examinations in high school. I will tell you it was effective! That time I was doubtful but when results came out, I tell you; the joy that gripped my heart was overwhelming.
So before I tell you my secret, I need you to stay positive. Anything is possible as long as you put your heart into it.
Here we go; I’m going to introduce you to some of the tips that helped me boost my brainpower
1. Chess
It sounds weird, doesn’t it? Playing chess is the deal here. Let’s see; if you’re a good player of this game, you know the difficulty you go through as a learner but trust me it’s the best trick when it comes to sharpening your brain. It will help you think faster, calculate your next move, and can clear your memory.
Here we’re discussing in-depth analysis or thinking hard in simple terms. This tip came from our teacher of biology. He told us in order to attempt trick questions correctly, we needed this.
I tell you biology is one of the hardest subjects to pass here at an advanced level, especially the Ugandan calculus. But for the good grades I got, I attribute them to chess.
Even my best friend, Marvin one of the best chess players I’ve ever met can testify on this.
2. Water
Have you ever felt like your head is burning and heavy especially after sitting on the computer for a couple of hours? I guess the answer is yes. But knowing that water makes up half of the fluids in our bodies makes it a hot cake.
Starting with the instant you wake up early in the morning, have you ever thought about gulping a glass of warm water? My mother routinized our home schedule in the morning.
We have to take a glass of warm water! Why warm anyway? This is a frequently asked question. It’s because the temperature of warm water fits almost with this of our bodies.
Coldwater is not advisable because the body will need to hit the water to the required temperature before absorption so I don’t recommend it.
Back to warm water. It will do what we call a ‘ gastric wash out’ this will help you prevent constipation as the wastes will immediately need to be released.
You will end up going to the toilet for relief. You will begin sobering up and the brain will stay alert the whole day.
Keep the body hydrated at all times during the day so that it will keep rejuvenating you with energy. If you make a habit of this, life will become fun.
3. Exercise
This is common actually for boosting brainpower. Sweating will burn excess calories in your body and the unnecessary fats you won’t be needing. I greatly advise skipping rope since all the muscles here work and sweat.
Jogging wouldn’t be a problem and is a deal too, Al least thrice a week. It will give you the athletic physique you’ve always yearned for.
And my dear pregnant mothers, do something to reduce the bellies that have become big because your man will want to see the wasp waist you had when he first saw you.
Some of you use the gym and I respect that but for those who cannot afford such a luxury, they can do some in- or- outdoor exercises.
When you relax, your muscles will also do so, and your whole body is relaxed too.
Blood circulation improves greatly as the heart can distribute to all parts of the body that means we are not missing out on the brain.
Obviously, when the brain receives enough or adequate oxygen that flows in the blood, you stay alert, the concentration will increase and even the grasping rate will improve.
Please don’t wait for the doctor to remind you because this is for you. Okay? Good.
4. Rest
are you Workaholics? This goes out to all those who just pack their schedule with work, they have to dedicate some time to rest. it’s good for boosting your brainpower
i Am not referring to passive rest where the brain still works proactively. I’m talking about sleeping. I mean Heavy slumber like a newborn.
When your brain lacks adequate rest, you end up destroying or killing some of the brain cells and the outcomes are disastrous.
Let’s take care of our bodies, our health in particular! I know you want to make money but honestly, if you break down, what will be left for your family?
There are ambitious people who want the next promotion, increment in salary at the expense of their health.
So dear, note that you may achieve all that but when you click fifty years of age, you might suffer from a stroke. Not to mention the tight schedule, fatigue results in stress which is a bad effect on your health.
5. Food
I was reading a diet plan that was given to my bedridden uncle who was suffering from cancer and I grasped something from it. It broke my heart that it wasn’t going to heal as he was already in stage four.
I don’t want you to go through the same thing. I want you to have a pleasant death with no agonizing pain and dismay surrounding you.
Here the vegans I tell you it will be easier. We need animal proteins but only if we are below eighteen years of age and below.
Of course, that diet consists of milk, eggs, and meat and it will amazingly boost your brainpower.
Milk; this enables the children to grow healthy. at this stage that the body is still growing, the children absolutely need to take this. But my dear lovely friend if you reach nineteen years of age, please forget the milk.
Animal products: eggs are a good supplementary diet for toddlers especially boiled eggs. But for adults averagely we need just an egg once a week.
For beef, mutton, and bacon; I put a big no. Your body doesn’t need any of these. Meat wouldn’t be bad but these days those animals are injected with all sorts of medicines.
They’ve become the number one cause of cancers, obese conditions, and high blood pressure-related diseases.
instead, I urge you to add the following to your diet;
1. Onions
They are good at increasing sensitivity in nerve endings. Eating them raw will help you prevent all types of stroke and paralysis.
2. Beetroot
I love its red color when blended with juice. It will increase blood cells in your body. As a result, it will increases oxygen carried to the brain.
3. Cabbage
This is a good anti-cancer guy! I remember when my cousin was diagnosed with intestinal cancer, we had no money at the time for her treatment.
Then one old doctor gave us a recipe that greatly helped us. We had to blend two hundred fifty grams of cabbage, one piece of ginger and garlic, and warm water.
She was supposed to take this before any meal without being filtered. Those fibers are beneficial friends, don’t get rid of them.
After a month, when taken for a check-up scan, there was nothing like cancer as she was healthy.
4. Fruits
One fruit at least every day would not be bad. But if things are tough financially, then thrice a week will be okay
5. Reduce alcohol consumption
It may be hard for addicts. But at least we can reduce the amount we consume. Excessively consumption of alcohol would result in liver and brain damage in simple terms.
But eating some grapes regularly will help to detoxify your liver and increase catalase enzyme concentration so you will be good to go.
6. Music
Have you ever thought why you easily grasp song lyrics? It’s because music boosts your memory capacity.
Music heals the soul. I’m not referring to pop, rock, or hip hop music that blasts your ears increases your heartbeat and disrupts the atom movement of brain cells.
I’m talking about music that is slow with few instruments ( maybe one). Listening to music that heals you is a more powerful remedy, and also boost your brainpower.
Did you know that people with insomnia can be induced to sleep with this? Now you know. I just found an app with beta and mega waves that can do this.
Lastly, stay happy. A sullen atmosphere is infectious and can spread to people around you. When positivity surrounds you, you become unstoppable.
Those were the few tips I had for you today! You never know but they could amazingly boost your brainpower dramatically.
