Every country is foreign, and every country’s laws are different. Sometimes these laws border on the incredibly ridiculous, and other times they point to significant cultural values that might be different from your own.

1 Smiling as a requirement except at Funerals and hospital:
Have you ever wondered a situation where you have to keep up appearance under the law? In Milan, Italy, the law demands that you must smile. In the city, there is no reason to wear a long face as you ought to keep smiling.
2 Changing an electric bulb yourself:
In Victoria Australia, you can pay as much as 10 Australian dollars fine for changing your room light bulb. It would be best if you got the services of licensed personnel to change a light bulb and remove an electric plug.
3 A chicken crossing the road:
This law aims to make owners keep their chickens in control. Georgia describes chickens as a culinary delicacy sacred to the Municipality of GaisnVille, Georgia. Consequently, the chicken must not cross the road else the owner finds himself in some trouble.
4 Right of entrance for a stranger who wants to use the toilet:
This one is as scary as it is funny. Dangerous in the sense that one could admit a person that will harm the family and funny in that you are under the law to give the person access to a toilet facility.
It happens in Scotland, where it is illegal to deny a man who seeks to use the toilet access to your house toilet.
5 It would help if you bought your grave-land before you die:
In Sarpourenx, a town in France, you don’t just die. It is illegal to pass away without making a provision for your burial ground. The mayor issued an edict forbidding anyone to die within the city without purchasing a plot where he or she will be buried. If eventually, you die not doing this, you will be punished.
6 Celebrating your Birthday:
Meanwhile,in Saudi Arabia, the ban on birthday celebration is in line with the strict interpretation of Islam. All Christians and Muslims alike are compelled to abide by this law as it is an alien culture.
7 Taking pictures of people and buildings:
Another bizarre one from Saudi Arabia; it is forbidden to take pictures as a hobby and post them online. The fine is as much as 100,000 pounds or a one-year jail term once you are found guilty.
8 Getting married after 6 pm
In Jamaica, couples who intend to marry must do so before 6 pm. It is still unclear, the motive for such a weird rule, but Jamaicans keep judiciously to it.
9 Death sentence if you sleep in a meeting with the president:
North Korea is a north case as there are bizarre laws in the communist state. The most mysterious is the fact that you will face a death sentence for sleeping during a meeting with their president Kim Jong Un. Jing, a senior government official, was executed because of that.
10 Never run out of fuel on the German expressway Autobahn:
In Germany, you must fill your car fuel tank before embarking on a journey on their expressway. If you run out of fuel, it is your fault, and that attracts a hefty fine. If you also decide to come down and walk on the motorway to get gas, that is another offense and another fine.
