During these last decades, technology has become an inseparable part of our lives. Social media has created multiple opportunities for people who want to start a business, make a change in the world, form a career, bring awareness to injustices, charities. Social media has transformed multiple worldwide industries, for example, the modeling industry where it has given a chance to all the girls around the world to fulfill their dream. Also, multiple artists being able to share their work even sell it. Like everything else social media has another side of the coin, the one where people had addicted to their phones scrolling for hours without realizing how the time passed. Another one is this image of a perfect life where everyone is happy and posting amazing pictures, which is perfectly normal. However, causing a feeling amongst other people living in poor and isolated countries that they have achieved nothing. Most of the social media users have the opportunity to comment on different posts, leading us to believe that some people only like to spread negativity instead of spreading love and minding their own business. They even have a specific names Trolls, while most of the people swipe these comments under the rug there are others who do not process it so well leading to eating disorders due to body-shaming, the pin-pointing of people`s flaws and imperfections causing the desire to change them in order to fit in the spectrum of today`s beauty. Negative comments are also believed to cause depression and anxiety, loneliness, especially among teens. The best way to actually take control of your life without relying on social media is to get out and leave your phone at home and have fun.
