Mumbai the capital city of the State of Maharashtra popularly is known as the city of dreams in India for the enormous opportunities that it presents to people of all the professions to earn money. Bombay as it was previously known before being rechristened to Mumbai on March 6, 1996, has an old history. Unfortunately, the city has been witness to the communal riots of 1992-93 and the terrorist attack of 26/11 in the year 2008.

Thousands of young people both male and female travel to Mumbai daily aspiring to make a name for themselves in the Indian film Industry.

The city is ranked first and played host to many important events of National Importance. It was here in Mumbai that the first passenger train commuted from the now dysfunctional Bori Bunder platform to Thane. Mumbai has also been pioneering the game of Cricket a national obsession in India. It was at the Bombay Gymkhana that the first test match ever was played on the Indian soil on December 5, 1933.
