Arsenal has in its rich history, scored some mesmerising team goals. Nevertheless, this goal against Leicester stands out as Aubamayang finished the team move with a tap in assisted by Ozil.
The Gabon international wrapped up the Gunners’ win at the Emirates Stadium with a tap-in after a brilliant team move in October 2018.
Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang’s second effort in Arsenal’s 3-1 victory over Leicester City has the club’s Goal of the Season for the 2018-19 season.
Aubameyang came off the bench to net a brace within six minutes in a thrilling encounter against the Foxes on October 22.
The 27-year-old replaced Stephan Lichtsteiner in the 61st minute and then fired the Gunners ahead two minutes later. In the 66th minute, the Gabonese star finished off a brilliant team move which involved 16 touches from 10 of his teammates without a Leicester player intercepting play.
The move started from the goalkeeper Leno who threw a short pass to Mustafi. The German defender passed it on to Granit Xhaka who dribbled a Leicester attacker and laid it on to Torreira. Torreira made a diagonal pass meant for the mercurial Ozil. Ozil stylishly side-footed the pass to Guendouzi and made a run forward. The young French international found Bellerin on the right channel of the Leicester attacking area. Bellerin played a forward pass to Ozil who continued running, stepped over the pass to leave it for Lacazette. The French forward laid it back on the path of Ozil who now has only the keeper to beat. Selflessly as it is his custom, Ozil placed a pass for the unmarked Aubamayang who has an empty net to tap in. It is a goal
