Change – Make your life enjoyable.
The word change can be used in different contexts, like changing habits, changing lifestyles, changing the business environment, or changing your social circle. But aside from context, it has one significant outcome: a better and enjoyable life, if you want it for happiness and quality lifestyle.
As it is always said that changing your self is better than changing the entire world. If you want to make an impact in the world and want some things to be changed, then start it with yourself first. Set an example and let the world follow you.
I believe that if you want to change your habits, lifestyle, corporate environment, or anything that affects your life in the wrong way, you will have to go through 3 different stages.
For an effective change, one must have to go through these 3 stages.
What type of change is required?
In the first stage, you must first find out what type of change you require in your life. Is it a bad habit, or is it an organizational model of your business? Is it a small change or a more significant change that is going to affect your life significantly?
Most of the time, people want to be changed, but they don’t know what to change to live a better life. You should know what that one thing is that is a hurdle between you and your goal, figure it out.
What are the reasons to change?
Secondly, you must know why you want to change in your life, what are the reasons. Once you figure out what thing needs to be changed in your life, then start thinking about the reasons for changing it.
For example: is it affecting your life severely? Does changing it will make your life better?
Implement the change:
Implementation of change is quite more straightforward, but it cannot be comfortable in some situations. Once you figure out the type and reasons for change, you must implement the change right away. Don’t overthink this stage. See it as part of your life.
After Effects of change:
It is important to note that what are the effects of change in your life. Compare your post-change life with the pre-change life so that you can find out it is really helping you or not. If you find the change helpful and bring improvements in your life, continue your life with it. But if you ever feel like it is not helping you, then you must know that there is always a going back. You can give up the change if it does not help you in any way.
Stick to the change:
This is the last and most challenging stage in this whole process. As I said earlier, Implementing the change is easy, but stick to that change is quite hard. It requires your determination and patience. Do not rush in deciding whether the change helped you or not. Things take time to change, and you will have to show a lot of patience to get the results.
As I said earlier, there is always a going back. Most of the people give up on change easily. They don’t stick to the change even if it is making their life better. Usually, people stick to change for one or two weeks, and after that, they go back to their old selves.
One must have to be persistent and determined If he really wants to see the outcomes of change. Giving up is not an option in this process. If you give up at the last stage, you will have to go through all the steps again.
Change and 21/90 Rule:
21/90 rule states that it takes 21 days to build a new habit or make the change happen, and it takes 90 days to make the change permanent in your life. It depends on you if you really want to change or not. If you really need a change in your life, stay consistent, and show a lot of patience. After making it permanent, you will appreciate yourself and the time you invested in your life’s betterment.
