Psychosis is a mental condition in which the patient experiences an uneasy feeling, because of his unwanted thoughts that he wants to get rid of. Ram possessed this condition due to his 4-year-long drug habits. He could not be blamed for doing so, as he had peer pressure from all his friends. Once he started abusing drugs he needed no pressure to use them, anymore. Because he felt a rise in his energy levels whenever he experienced drugs. By and by, he started falling into the trap. Thus his mental condition also got worsened day by day. He wanted to stop all of his habits but to no avail. At last, he approached a guru who could help him out, anyway, he was not turned down by the guru. The guru asked Ram to be out of that place, the place where his friends are, as soon as possible. Ram did as the guru demanded, though he had so many obstacles for doing something like that. You know, friends, they insisted Ram not to go anywhere but stay right where he was. But Ram refused to do so and went on with the guru’s advice. As per the guru’s advice, Ram was off to his hometown. Once he was in his native, he was away from his friend’s clutches and thanked his guru for the advice in the next visit. Guru asked him: “What is your problem now “? Ram answered him that he was suffering from a mental condition called psychosis and was regularly having unwanted thoughts. Guru hearing this gave Ram a meditation technique to get him out of his suffering. Guru asked him to chant Aum daily and asked him to return after 90 days. The very next day onwards Ram started chanting AUM. He felt much better by and by. And after 90 days Ram paid a visit to the Guru and told him that he was off unwanted thoughts now and is feeling much better. Hearing those words guru was not surprised for he knew the chanting of AUM is transformational. Thus the story ends.
