What knowledge can do to you?
It is true that what you take in through your senses, turns out to be your life. Whatever you do, see, hear, smell, and feel ought to have an impression on your mind. This mind based on your past impressions will make you behave in a certain way, seemingly, the way you don’t want to behave. For instance, if you watch a movie, your whole day will be full of thoughts about the movie you watched. The Mind doesn’t realize what is reality or what is not? It is a reflection of what your senses have been engaged with. So living your life may seem a burden when you are so full of thoughts regarding the past impressions on your mind. Our minds are bound to behave that way, nobody could be blamed for that reason. Simply, you are responsible for whatever you experience. I guess that’s why the spiritual gurus don’t indulge in these kinds of activities like reading a book, watch TV, or do other outward activities. They simply are not interested because according to them it stains your mind. In a discourse, Sadhguru says that he hasn’t read any book in his life or probably will not read any in the future. Perhaps, we will be awestruck to hear that fact, because how can someone answer all the questions that people ask without having touched a book. He claims it to be because of a deeper level of understanding about life. Sadhguru or any other guru for that matter, has wide knowledge about any matter on earth, and it is something we would love to possess, don’t we? Yes. I think we should also be like them while coming to the matter of acquiring knowledge. They say all the knowledge that you need to have seeds in our inside, we just have to allow them to sprout. But how ? is the question that you may probably have, by growing spiritually. To grow spiritually you have to do certain practices like meditation and yoga. This practice takes you to the peak of awareness so that you know it all. I am not trying to impose on anybody with my theories, just sharing the knowledge that I’ve earned. Of course, it is up to you whether to follow it or not. But if you do follow you will be a lot more peaceful in life. Because as a yoga practitioner I am trying to follow the methods that Sadhguru shared with the world. In my personal experience, yes, the methods have had an impact on my life.
