The title might seem a Korean drama series but that’s actually what most people feel during this quarantine. And not being okay is totally fine at all.
As a student who was forced to study at home, I woke up one day feeling unproductive and worst, I have all the time in this world to think about my life. A year before turning 25, I realized that I have less experience in life than most of my friends who are already exposed to the real world. I opted to study for a post-graduate course and locked myself on the four corners of the classroom for another four years. I always dreamt of living a life of service and fulfilling such requires a lot of time devoted to studying the law and reading cases. It takes time to reach the finish line but I have to remind myself that life is not a race, it is a journey.
If you are reading this and you are not feeling okay, please be reminded that everything will be alright. If you are feeling stuck and regretful of your decisions in life, please know that things happen for a reason and you are exactly where you should be. If this pandemic brings you doubts and fears, please hold on. May you always be reminded that you have a purpose in this world and even if you are not feeling okay, it will not make you less of a person.
You can stay longer on your bed if that makes you feel better. During this time, may you always prioritize your physical and mental health. And whatever you feel right now is valid. But I hope you won’t ever lose that burning passion in your heart to do things that you love. You can always fulfill that purpose to which you are born to accomplish when you are ready. And whenever that time comes, even if it takes a while, that’s okay.
