As the world is hit hard with Corona (COVID-19), it is a growing debate that is it more harmful to people physically or is it affecting the mental health of people more across the world. Mental health awareness is growing even among the developing countries of the earth. Corona (COVID-19), has spread more fear and depression then humanity has ever encountered before. People are in constant fear and anxiety to keep themselves and their loved ones safe from this disease.
Corona (COVID-19) and Psychological Disorders
Corona (COVID-19) can be a root of many different mental health problems but in this article, we will talk about the two most common Corona (COVID-19) related mental health concerns these days which are fear and depression.
Fear in COVID-19
Whenever I turn on the TV all I hear is the death count in different countries and there is no doubt the same for many people. Hearing about a constantly increasing scale of deaths is itself traumatic. The story does not end here, the consequences become even more devastating when we develop a feeling that we could be one of those who were killed by this virus.
To save ourselves and our family we stay anxious and alert all the time. We do everything that is told to us in the news and across different blogs. That is good to some extent as it may help to keep you safe from the disease but on the other hand, it is keeping your mental system alert all the time. Just like any other machine your brain also needs to calm down and take a break. Once you have done all the management that is important for your safety you need to understand that there is nothing else that you can do. When you cannot control something, you need to worry about it less.
Depression in COVID-19
Seeing people around you getting sick and die no doubt makes everyone depressed. Another important factor to be considered as contributors to increasing depression among people in isolation. Humans are very social and therefore they need to socialize to regulate their emotions. When emotional needs are not fulfilled it is very obvious that mental health problems will start to develop.
What Should You Do?
Productivity in COVID-19
Are you a person who has always been very busy but is full of talent? Do something great! This is the right time to shine. I have many friends who are doing great in quarantine. I can see many YouTube creators make great videos in the current time. They are playing the role of humanity by spreading mass awareness. This is no doubt also giving some financial gains but you can say it is a win-win situation. If you can earn by doing good to other people what else can you ask for?
I can also see so many amazing writers and poets who had to stop posting amazing content because they did not have time to do so in their very busy schedule but now, I can see amazing content flooding to the internet. So, if you have what it takes to be an amazing writer it can be the best time to start. People are searching on the internet for this epidemic all around the world. This can also help you get your content in the mainstream. If you have creative ideas that can help people during the epidemic just like I have you can write about it.

The main idea is to keep yourself busy into something even if it’s not productive but it should be good for your mental health.
Do you remember that season that you always wanted to watch? Do you have a long list of movies on your laptop or mobile that you never got time to watch? Now is the best time to hunt them down. Is your storeroom dirty as hell? Are tree-sized weeds growing in your lawn? There can be no good time on earth to do it then the time that is now. Like so many people if you don’t have anything to do right now, get done with these things.
Social distancing does not mean that you cannot communicate with your friends and family it just means that you need to keep a safe physical distance from them. Make sure that you stay connected to your loved ones through electronic communication and social media sites. This will help strengthen the relationship bond between you and your loved ones.
Your mental health is completely controlled by you. You need to make productive use of all the extra time that you have during the epidemic. Keeping yourself busy will keep depressive thoughts away. If you cannot do something productive make sure you do something fun. The main goal is to stay busy with something so that you don’t overthink.
