Often we look down upon our own thoughts as if we did a crime for having thought those particular things. May it be anything, our society is such that we grew up learning that it is not okay to express oneself openly. All those years we have learnt that we should keep things to our-self or share it with our parents only. If by chance you have any thought which you cannot share with either of your parents then probably that’s wrong… I do not know about most of you, but personally I grew up learning this. And without any hesitation, till a point of time I considered it right until I discovered a phase called depression, anxiety, peer pressure, etc.
Often we get defined by our childhood trauma, past mistakes, worst moments, other people’s opinions and toxic relationships which makes us hesitant to express our thoughts openly. Society judges us by our mistakes despite putting into consideration the actual personality of a person. Well that is a never ending topic about what society does to us. in short, society makes us doubt our own skills and perspective just because it is not pleasing enough for the society.
It is time for us to open up and express our feelings. It is not important that our thoughts should be convincing for somebody and its is normal to hold opinions different from others because we are different individuals holding different opinions. Just be proud of yourself and do what makes you happy not what makes others happy. At the end, it all about your happiness because people will not support you if you felt depressed or stressed and they simply just blame you for the situation. Not everyone can be doctors and engineers.
What we often neglect is the fact that its okay to feel sad and have heartbreaks and that is not the end of the thing and therefore it should not stop us. What actually matters is to get up and start over again because that is what lie is. it is important to understand that not every time we get what we wish for, maybe the thing is not meant for us. Instead we should never stop trying and continuously remind ourselves that success will come sooner or later and we will finally settle with what we deserve and what is best for us but not always what we want.
